Downtown Miami
Each downtown district—Brickell, The Central Business District, Park West and the Art & Entertainment District—has its unique identity. Brickell is a residentially developed area with Brickell Village at its heart. This retail center adds vitality to all of downtown. Nestled in the heart of the Central Business District, Flagler Street is downtown’s historic retail area and home to Olympia Theater, a historic performing arts center from 1926. Biscayne Boulevard, downtown Miami’s window to the world, has dramatically changed with residential projects that create a new walkable district with sidewalk cafés and retail stores. Home of the American Airlines Arena and the NBA champs Miami Heat, plus Bayside Marketplace and Bayfront Park, PortMiami, Adrienne Arsht Performing Arts Center, Pérez Art Museum Miami, Museum Park and the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science can all be found here.
