When Evelyn Torres moved to Miami in 2009, she created her Brickellista persona as a way to connect with new people, places and events. The former marketing gal-turned-blogger’s brand has grown into a full-time gig with close to 30,000 people following her adventures, on Instagram alone. We chatted with the uber stylish influencer to get her must-visit Miami locales.
Why is Brickellista a fun resource for both visitors and locals alike?
Brickellista is all about building community and providing a unique take on Miami. It’s based on a young professional’s perspective, so it’s realistic, attainable and fun. I send a weekly newsletter every Wednesday at noon with information on what’s happening in the city, latest blog posts, and fun topics.
What are your top 5 must-experience Miami spots for visitors?
Joe’s Stone Crab Takeaway - hands down! Bodega for cocktails and they have a badass taco happy hour! Paddle boarding by Sunset Harbor...I just went to Knaus Berry Farms and that was decadent… I devoured a milkshake and a few cinnamon rolls… so definitely would like an excuse to go back! Panther Coffee / Beer Crawl around Wynwood.

Have any South Florida spots you’ve yet to try out that you’re dying to?
