Coco House and Company
By Erica Corsano Coco House & Company

The Antique Row Art & Design District in West Palm Beach has become the center of the universe for antique shoppers in-the-know. The area, located in a once-forgotten neighborhood, boasts more than 52 shops and galleries offering an impressive range that includes 17th- to 20th-century antiques, period art-deco and modern furnishings, and fine and decorative arts. Here are some of our favorites both on and off the row:

Coco House & Company’s colorful French owner, Serge de Laville, specializes in 19th-century English bamboo furniture, chinoiserie and art-deco furniture. In business for more than eight years, de Laville counts Bruce Springsteen and Kevin Kline among his celebrity clients.

Gary Rubinstein Antiques, a favorite of top New York designers, specializes in fine 18th-, 19th- and 20th-century furniture and decorative arts with an emphasis on Italian design of the late 18th and mid-20th centuries.

With two locations along South Dixie Highway, James & Jeffrey Antiques has become a favorite among decorators.

Owned by Polish émigré Renata Metelska, Renata Fine Arts specializes in exquisite original artworks ranging from 20th-century to contemporary American and European art, including a selection by Florida artists.

Faustina Pace Antiques & Interiors offers a selection of furniture, textiles, accessories and garden accents procured from her travels to France, Sweden and Belgium reflects her easy, comfortable design sensibility.

Insider tip: Christa of Christa’s South Seashells in the antique district builds beautiful masterpieces out of seashells (by the seashore?).

Off the Row

In South of Southern (SoSo, as the neighborhood is called by locals), the eclectic array of antique shops continues.

Todd Hase

The interior designer is a favorite of young Palm Beach families thanks to an array of rattan and mid-century pieces.

Lars Bolander

This Swedish-born interior designer’s eponymous shop offers classical furniture and accessories.

Palm Beach Antique & Design Center

Chock-full of sublimely edited and staged rooms, this design center is a must-stop for anyone looking for high-quality, mid-century and late '70s and early '80s French and Italian antiques.

Explore amazing art and antiques in a world-famous district.
