The spirit of Giacosa—a longtime Coral Gables favorite—lives on at the newly debuted M House. Spearheaded by Abraham Silva, the prodigy of Giacosa’s late chef Alfredo Alvarez, its palate of bold flavors inspired by the rich coastlines of the Mediterranean are making it a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
Designed by fashion designer Ángel Sánchez, the space channels a chic European hideaway with a large olive tree serving as an anchor in the rotunda seating area, a stately seafood bar framing the open kitchen and an oasis-like outdoor patio.
Marble-top tables and gold accents and black-and-white art pieces round out the glamorous feel. As for the menu, standout dishes include the smoked shrimp cocktail; the Josper-baked poulet rouge in a pale ale beer sauce; and a limoncello sponge cake with pistachio and sumac cream. Sip a hand-crafted cocktail in M House’s intimate bar and lounge area.
