More than 2,000 artists represented by more than 250 galleries from all across the world come together at this show, usually scheduled the first week of December, the most important contemporary art showcase in the Americas. For those unfamiliar with it, Basel is more than just the show at the Miami Beach Convention Center, as the city erupts with parties, satellite fairs and related events both on the island and the mainland. Check out Miami-based galleries which are annually represented during the fair. A must-see is the fair’s Art Public component, which presents large works at various spots throughout the city.
