While the Magic City may be known for its array of cuisines from Latin America and the Caribbean, good Mexican fare was few and far between – until now. Thanks to a slew of new restaurants and taquerias it’s easy to get that Mexican fix in Miami and beyond.

222 Taco
No matter if the Mexican craving hits morning, noon, or night, 222 Tacos has everyone covered. Featuring classic Mexican dishes, all-day breakfast options, and a fully-stocked vegan menu, plus a bar solely dedicated to margaritas, making this is a one-stop shop to get that south of the border fix.

The Taco Stand
This San Diego import has landed in Wynwood and transports diners to Tijuana for Baja style breakfast, lunch and dinner eats. Feast on tacos and burritos served on handmade corn tortillas, plus freshly prepared Rosarito-style churros, paletas, while sipping on imported beers and Mexican sodas.

El Vez
Mega-restaurateur Stephen Starr is at it again bringing his popular Mexican eatery El Vez to Fort Lauderdale. The restaurant’s eclectic vibe sets the stage for a fun experience from snacks and waterfront tropical drinks to a multi-course meal of tasty Mexican fare like crispy mahi tacos, guacamole-filled with seafood, and branzino served “Baja style.”

Taquiza North Beach
This South Beach staple has taken its talents to North Beach for its second beach-side outpost. Guests will find all their favorites on the menu including 12 different types of tacos ranging from al pastor to chapuilnes (yes, grasshoppers), its addictive totopos with guac, and something the Sobe locale doesn’t have: a fully stocked bar.

Tacology
This chic Brickell City Centre “mercado” style restaurant offers guests a variety of stations, including ceviche, tacos, juices, salads and desserts, making guests feel like they are transported to the streets of Mexico—but with the convenience of ordering their meal from an iPad.

La Lupita
This family-friendly Brickell favorite serves up authentic tacos with a modern twist. It’s wallet-friendly menu and laid-back vibe keep locals coming back for more. That and the passion fruit margaritas, of course.
